After the biological contamination, he and the other police officers barricaded themselves in the westside station. He lost most of his comrades when the zombies broke in, and Marvin himself was gravely wounded. Knowing that he was going to turn into a zombie, Marvin kicked Leon and the others out of the office and locked the door, after first begging them to save his companions. Hours later, as expected, he finally turned into a zombie and attacked.
