Member of Unit A of the U.B.C.S.s A Team. An expert marksman with an introverted personality, he's a former US Marine and a superb soldier.
His motive for joining U.B.C.S. was the same as Tyrell's: to have his life sentence commuted. He was sentenced for using a hunting rifle to gun down 20 members of a street gang that had killed his brothers.
After acquiring the status of a demigod for his miraculous shooting ability during his stint with the Marines, Murphy was hired as a sniper by U.B.C.S. However, he was killed by Nicholai when he started to show signs of infection after the destruction of his unit.

Murphy is discovered by Jill in the garage of the downtown district in Raccoon City.
As she sees him suffering from a wound, Nicholai walks in and shoots him before Jill can find out any information from him.
